Kids come in costume and Trick-or-Treat throughout the Zoo.

Members receive deep discounts - a spooktacular member benefit!

WHEN: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays, October 16, 17, 23 and 24

COST FOR MEMBERS: $4 in advance for those who will be Trick-or-Treating; $6 at the Front Gate day of for those who will be Trick-or-Treating. Members coming to the event but are not Trick-or-Treating are free.

MEMBERS CAN PURCHASE PRE-SALE TICKETS BY:

  • Online (until October 8): Click here to purchase your tickets online. Please note: In the comments section, you must list your Member ID# and the number of tickets you are purchasing. 
  • By phone (until October 8): Call (585) 336-7212.
  • By mail (until October 8): Please send a check made out to the Seneca Park Zoo Society to: Attn ZooBoo, 2222 St. Paul St., Rochester NY 14621
  • At the Front Gate (until October 15)
COST FOR NON-MEMBERS: $6 event fee plus regular Zoo admission for those Trick-or-Treating. Those who are not Trick-or-Treating will pay only regular Zoo admission. Zoo admission is: $9 for adults age 12 to 62; $8 for seniors age 63 and older; $6 for children age 3 to 11; free for kids 2 and younger. Non-members cannot purchase tickets in advance; only at the door.

WHAT TO EXPECT:


ZooBoo Families Have Fun!
  • Lots of candy: 12 trick-or-treat stations.
  • Every kid wins: Special gift as they exit.
  • Interactive and stroller-friendly: "Zoo-Mazing" maze where kids enter at one end, collect treats along the way and exit for a prize.
  • Entertainment: Varies by day. Highlights include Radio Disney and costumed characters.
  • Watch creatures enjoy: Our Zoo animals enjoy their own treats.
  • How unique: Merry-Not-Scary way for the entire family to enjoy Halloween festivities in a one-of-a-kind setting.
  • Discounts and specials: Check out the Eagle's Landing Cafe and the ZooShop.

ZooBoo Families Go Green!

  • Using recyclable materials: As always, printed materials and treat bags are printed on, and made from, recycled materials.
  • Supporting orangutan conservation: Candy at our Trick-or-Treat stations is palm oil free.
  • Support from 'Green Halloween': Working with the Association of Zoos and Aquariums to make your Halloween healthier and more sustainable. It's kid-friendly, parent-approved and once again, palm oil free!
  • Visit the Green Gazebo: As always, bring your cell phones, ink cartridges and batteries to be recycled.
