Orangutan (M.O.M.) Awareness Day

Orangutan M.O.M Day is held on Mother's Day each year. M.O.M. stands for Missing Orangutan Mothers. The goal of our event is to aid in orangutan conservation, raise awareness and educate the public that there is hope for these animals with our help.

When: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Cost: Free with Zoo admission

Classes for kids age 3 - Hide and Seek

  • Hide and Seek - 11:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. on Saturday, May 10 OR 10:15 to 11 a.m. on Tuesday, May 13 (SOLD OUT) OR 10:15 to 11 a.m. on Friday, May 16: Meet a few animals that are experts at playing hide and seek!
When: 11:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. unless otherwise noted.

In addition: Songs, activities, a snack and an up-close look at one of our education animals are included in this program.

Cost:
$11 per child for members; $78 per child for non-members. Pre-registration is required.

Classes for kids age 4 & 5

  • Animal Families - 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday, May 10 OR 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 13 OR 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Friday, May 16: Some animals live in families, just like us! Meet some social critters and learn about how living together can make for a wild time!
In addition: Songs, activities, a snack and an up-close look at one of our education animals are included in this program.
