Zoo Fact

Eagle’s nests are very large, possibly measuring up to six-feet wide and weighing up to 100 pounds. Many of the nests are used year after year.

The Zoo is open all year long. Closed the first Saturday in June for Zoobilation, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day and New Year's Day.

GATE HOURS

  • January 1 to March 31: 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. You may stay on grounds until 4 p.m.
  • April 1 to October 31: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. You may stay on grounds until 5 p.m. (Zoo opens at 9:30 a.m. for Zoo members.)
  • November 1 to December 31: 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. You may stay on grounds until 4 p.m.
