Monroe County's Seneca Park Zoo is on the leading edge of recyclable
collection in the community. Our Go Green! Recycle Rallies are just one
aspect of the recycling efforts at the Zoo. (For other efforts please
Go Green! Recycle Rallies give members of the community the opportunity
to recycle larger items such as televisions, computers, monitors, DVD
players, microwaves and video game systems. The Zoo will also be
collecting clothing, shoes and bicycles. A shredding truck will be on
site at each rally
(EXCEPT July 28th) to shred important documents safely and securely at each of these
events. The Zoo does NOT accept air conditioners and household hazardous
wastes such as paints, solvents and cleaners.
2013 dates are:
- April 20
- July 28 - Please note: There will NOT be a shredding truck available on this date.
- September 22
- November 3
Cost: All items free of charge to recycle.
Please note: Batteries must be sealed in sealed Ziploc bags before depositing.
